This project aims to prove the significance, effectiveness and efficiency of a cellulose based slow sand water purification system and aims to provide a cheaper and recycled alternative to traditional small scale filtration units while not losing the functionality of a filtration unit and to provide an economical and sustainable solution for obtaining potable water using locally available materials.
