Abstract

The increasing demand for efficient and secure warehouse management systems has driven the adoption of automation and smart technologies. Traditional warehouses face challenges such as manual monitoring, delayed responses to emergencies, and inefficient stock management. To address these issues, this project introduces STOCKGUARD, a smart warehouse monitoring and management system that integrates automation, robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The system aims to enhance safety, security, and operational efficiency through real-time data collection and intelligent alert mechanisms. The proposed system incorporates multiple modules, including fire and smoke detection, intruder detection, environmental monitoring, and automated cleaning. Using IoT- based communication through ESP32 and Raspberry Pi, STOCKGUARD enables remote access and continuous monitoring via Wi- Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The system also features stock-level management that generates automatic re-stock alerts, ensuring optimized inventory control. By combining these functionalities, STOCKGUARD provides a unified solution for warehouse safety and efficiency enhancement. Phase 1 of the project focuses on conceptual design, literature review, hardware selection, and initial simulation of individual modules. The implementation and performance evaluation are planned for Phase 2, where real-time testing and integration will be carried out. The expected outcome is a fully functional, autonomous warehouse management system capable of reducing manual intervention, preventing losses, and promoting safer and smarter warehouse operations through automation and IoT-driven intelligence.
