Urban transportation systems increasingly demand energy-efficient, compact, and intelligent mobility solutions that can operate safely within congested environments. This project presents the design and implementation of an IoT-based intelligent electric bicycle intended for daily urban commuting with an emphasis on safety, adaptability, and sustainability. The proposed system integrates a 250 W hub motor with dual riding modes—Adaptive Pedal Assist and Normal Electric Mode—to balance rider effort and energy efficiency. Key features include an automatic headlight system responsive to ambient lighting conditions, a digital display unit providing real- time speed, battery status, and distance metrics, and an adaptive suspension mechanism that adjusts damping based on road irregularities. Safety is enhanced through dual-disc braking, automatic turn-signal deactivation, accident and pothole detection using sensor fusion, and a smart helmet interface capable of emergency alerts. IoT connectivity enables real-time vehicle monitoring, GPS tracking, and performance diagnostics through a mobile or web platform. By combining sensor-based control, intelligent automation, and connected systems, the proposed e-cycle offers a practical alternative to conventional fuel-based two-wheelers. The system contributes to reduced emissions, improved rider safety, and supports the broader objectives of smart and sustainable urban mobility
